Active Polartec® Alpha® insulation, which provides incredible warmth for its weight while aiding in better breathability.However, the fabrics themselves do not make the jacket. The front has one zipper for the insulation layer and a separate zipper for the outer membrane layer, so you can open the outside for ventilation while leaving the insulation layer closed.
