Six years ago, Giro set a new standard in the quality and appearance of recreational helmets with the original Register model. The new Register II takes this standard even further. We bring you the design, style and ventilation of Giro's best road helmets embodied in this affordable, lightweight helmet with in-mold construction. It is intended for all hobby mountain bike riders or cycling enthusiasts. From the wide range of colors available, you will surely choose the right one to complement your bike or outfit. With a removable label and an adjustable fastening system that is tightened using a tightening wheel, you can always adjust the helmet to be completely comfortable. For those who require maximum safety, we have variants with MIPS Evolve Core technology to eliminate rotational forces during impact, as well as a variant with LED light.
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) provides increased protection against rotational forces on the head.

MIPS IS A MOVEMENT
PROGRESS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CYCLING HELMETS
All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible during impact and comply with the applicable European standard: EN 1078. The new MIPS technology aims to eliminate rotational forces acting on the head in the event of a fall. Upon impact at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the rider's head. Although this movement is only on the order of a few millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that would otherwise be transmitted to the brain.
WHAT IS MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) and how does it work?
MIPS is a slippery insert between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner liners. In the event of an impact at an angle (for example, when you catch your head on a branch), the EPS shell of the helmet rotates a few millimeters after the MIPS layer, protecting the head and brain from a violent rotational jerk.
