Maximum performance without compromise
By adding MIPS AIR®, we have integrated the lightest and most advanced rotation management system directly into the helMET liner. MIPS AIR® has been specially designed to minimize the transfer of rotational energy to the head during oblique impacts. This system allows relative movement between the absorbent layer and the liner in the range of 10 to 15 mm.
Lightweight and powerful construction
MET Trenta 3K Carbon Mips outperforms all other helMETs on the market thanks to its construction. Through research and development, we used the flexibility of carbon to reduce the density of the EPS foam by 20% without reducing the helMET's ability to absorb energy. The result is an extremely lightweight yet extremely efficient shell that sets a new standard in ventilated helMETs.
Advanced aerodynamics and ventilation
NACA vent technology, originally developed by NACA (predecessor to NASA), uses the position of the front vent to cool the head. Using the Venturi effect, this opening forces warm air out through specially placed vents, providing a continuous airflow without causing resistance.
The rear of the helMET also plays an important aerodynamic role. In cooperation with the front ventilation opening and the rear baffle, directs the airflow efficiently. Thanks to wind tunnel tests at the NEWTON laboratory in Milan, we have reduced the profile of the rear of the helMET, thus optimizing its aerodynamics.
