The Isode II brings the timeless style and ventilation of Giro's road top helmets to this lightweight and affordable helmet. With its compact shape, light construction and effective ventilation, the Isode II clearly refers to the Giro helmets worn by professionals. In addition, it offers a user-friendly size adjustment system with the option to adjust using the Roc Loc Sport rotary wheel or the comfortable quick-drying lining. The helmet can be retrofitted with a flasher Giro Register II / Isode II Vent Light, order code: 7159919 MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) provides increased protection against rotational forces on the head. Roc Loc® Sport CLAMPING SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION In-mold, MIPS VENTILATION 19 holes, deep internal ventilation channels FEATURES reflective elements, quick-drying linings, insect netting SIZES universal adult (54-61 cm) MIPS IS A MOVEMENT PROGRESS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CYCLING HELMETS All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible during impact and comply with the applicable European standard: EN 1078. The new MIPS technology aims to eliminate rotational forces acting on the head in the event of a fall. Upon impact at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the rider's head. Although this movement is only on the order of a few millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that would otherwise be transmitted to the brain. WHAT IS MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) and how does it work? MIPS is a slippery insert between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner liners. In the event of an impact at an angle (for example, when you catch your head on a branch), the EPS shell of the helmet rotates a few millimeters after the MIPS layer, protecting the head and brain from a violent rotational jerk.
