The Agilis helmet combines the airy design of classic racing helmets with extended neck protection. It will thus find its application not only on the road, but also in the field. It fits perfectly and holds perfectly on the head thanks to the Roc Loc 5.5 fastening system, which in the version with MIPS technology is integrated into the MIPS layer. The shell is also covered with durable polycarbonate from the bottom, which you will appreciate both in terms of design and in terms of the helmet's resistance to everyday wear and tear.

MIPS IS A MOVEMENT
PROGRESS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CYCLING HELMETS
All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible during impact and comply with the applicable European standard: EN 1078. The new MIPS technology aims to eliminate rotational forces acting on the head in the event of a fall. Upon impact at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the rider's head. Although this movement is only on the order of a few millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that would otherwise be transmitted to the brain.
WHAT IS MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) and how does it work?
MIPS is a slippery insert between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner liners. In the event of an impact at an angle (for example, when you catch your head on a branch), the EPS shell of the helmet rotates a few millimeters after the MIPS layer, protecting the head and brain from a violent rotational jerk.
