When every curb or root is a bouncing edge and every piece of dirt is begging for a skid, the Tremor kids' helmet is here to keep a smile on your face, even if it gets a little squeaky. Because we want young bikers to feel safe on their first rides, we equipped it with the same technologies as adult models. The lightweight shell is made with In-mold technology and the Roc Loc Sport adjustable clamping system easily adapts to the shape of the head with a tightening wheel.
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) provides increased protection against rotational forces on the head.

MIPS IS A MOVEMENT
PROGRESS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CYCLING HELMETS
All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible during impact and comply with the applicable European standard: EN 1078. The new MIPS technology aims to eliminate rotational forces acting on the head in the event of a fall. Upon impact at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the rider's head. Although this movement is only on the order of a few millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that would otherwise be transmitted to the brain.
WHAT IS MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) and how does it work?
MIPS is a slippery insert between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner liners. In the event of an impact at an angle (for example, when you catch your head on a branch), the EPS shell of the helmet rotates a few millimeters after the MIPS layer, protecting the head and brain from a violent rotational jerk.
