How do you improve the world's best-selling helmet? You give it a more modern shape, the latest technology, fine-tune the details and most importantly - you breathe the biker soul into it! The Fixture II is especially at home on the trail – the shape is detuned from our much more expensive trail helmets. Slopes, forest roads or narrow trails in blueberry bushes - if you are most satisfied when the dirt crunches under your wheels, needles rumble and pine cones fly away, the Fixture II helmet is the one for you. With its extended profile at the back, it provides increased protection for the back of the neck. It is well ventilated with 16 holes and fits perfectly on the head thanks to the Roc Loc Sport clamping system, which can be easily tightened with one hand using the tightening wheel. MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) provides increased protection against rotational forces on the head. Roc Loc® Sport CLAMPING SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION In-mold VENTILATION 16 holes FEATURES removable Snap-Fit 2 label, reflective elements, quick-dry linings SIZES universal adult (54-61 cm) MIPS IS A MOVEMENT PROGRESS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CYCLING HELMETS All Giro helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible during impact and comply with the applicable European standard: EN 1078. The new MIPS technology aims to eliminate rotational forces acting on the head in the event of a fall. Upon impact at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS shell of the helmet to rotate independently around the rider's head. Although this movement is only on the order of a few millimeters, we believe that MIPS technology significantly reduces the amount of rotational force that would otherwise be transmitted to the brain. WHAT IS MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) and how does it work? MIPS is a slippery insert between the EPS shell (helmet body) and the inner liners. In the event of an impact at an angle (for example, when you catch your head on a branch), the EPS shell of the helmet rotates a few millimeters after the MIPS layer, protecting the head and brain from a violent rotational jerk.
