It was specifically developed as a tire for training use by the fastest riders on the World Tour. The tire's construction is designed for inner tube use, and Pirelli incorporated Evo rubber compound and TechBELT braiding technology to achieve excellent reliability, ride comfort and puncture resistance while maintaining a light weight.

TechBELT
High-performance braid structure with an added layer of high puncture resistant fabric under the tread to allow the tire to provide excellent puncture resistance in a wide range of conditions. The combination of this layer and the skeleton layers of the braid allows for the most effective rolling resistance and weight parameters for this structure to be achieved for use with the inner tube.
