The Cinturato Velo is a Tubeless-Ready (tubeless) tire from Pirelli that has been designed for maximum durability and ride comfort, without unintentionally impacting performance.
KEY CHARACTERISTICS Pirelli's experience and the reliability of SmartNET™ Silica rubber compound technology, combined with the comfort of tubeless-ready tyres and the durability of Armour Tech™ technology, have enabled the development of a new tyre with a unique DNA, perfect for long rides on a variety of terrain and surfaces.
Armour Tech™'s patented construction combines the following components with different functions, which are placed in the shell in order from the inside out to form the superstructure of a 60 TPI nylon braid:
- A layer of high density nylon fiber that lies from heel to heel to protect against cuts. It also improves stability when running at low tire pressures and contributes to the airtight seating of the casing in the bead when used with liquid sealant.
- A high density knitted aramid fibre safety belt is located under the tread and provides protection against punctures and cuts from sharp objects.
- Aramid particles dispersed directly in the rubber compound (SmartNET™ Silica), which is in two layers: an outer layer (cladding), which is responsible for excellent riding characteristics (dry and wet grip, long mileage, surface feel) and an inner layer (base), which slows the penetration of foreign bodies to the lower layers due to the higher concentration of aramid particles in it.

The Cinturato Velo tire bead has been designed for maximum compatibility and airtightness with tubeless-ready rims, as well as for easy mounting when used with or without a tube (tubeless-ready).
