Selle San Marco ASPIDE SHORT- is a modern shortened version of the iconic Aspide model. In the hierarchy of models, it thus ranks between the classic Aspide and the versatile Allroad.
It offers a larger bore, still relatively flat saddle character and a narrow toe. With a wider opening and a newly shaped rear, it will offer more comfort. This makes the saddle suitable for people with a narrower pelvis, more of a stocky fit.
COMFORT Dynamic- (Dynamic level, additional biofoam padding), This modification adds more comfort to the standard saddle. In studies conducted on riders of varying abilities and fitness levels, it has been shown that a greater level of comfort (increased padding) can have a very positive impact in two ways. The first one is shorter training sessions for less fit cyclists who are not used to the saddle (up to about two hours) and the second one is, on the contrary, ultramarathon cycling with performances of 6-8 hours or more. With the standard cycling performance of a fit individual (3-5 hours in the saddle), a quality liner in the pants combined with a more race-oriented saddle pad proves to be preferable. This design is also more often chosen by women - especially those who ride occasionally.
