The future of bicycle security is here!Knog Scout is a lightweight, low-profile bicycle locator and alarm designed to integrate seamlessly into Apple's FindMy product network, allowing you to track where your bike is even when it's not in motion. Attachment is discreet and secure under any bottle basket using the included security screws. The device is rechargeable via USB-C and will last approximately 6 months in normal use. Cyclists can activate/deactivate the motion-sensitive alarm, locate the device and check battery life via the Knog app.HOW Knog SCOUT WORKSThe Scout locator and alarm, works via bluetooth connection with an Apple smartphone. Thanks to a networked Iphone network using bluetooth, a bike with Scout attached can be tracked whenever an Apple Iphone or Ipad device is nearby. There are no additional monthly fees for operation. After purchase, simply charge the device and it is ready to use. An Android version is planned for next season.Mounting and securityWith Scout you have the choice between overt and discreet security. To advertise that your bike is equipped with a Scout device, simply use the supplied neon yellow silicone cover. For more discreet security, mount the Scout to your bike using the bottle basket mounts with tamper-resistant security screws without the cover.BOTTLE CART MOUNTINGThe Scout's extremely low profile and compact design allows it to be neatly bolted on and hidden under the bottle basket. This is a great way to keep the Scout hidden for even greater discretion.TUNING AND CHARGINGTurning the Scout alarm on or off is simple and can be done in two ways: using the button on the side of the device when the connected iPhone is in close proximity (<1.5m), or using the Knog app when the device is within Bluetooth range. When the Scout's battery needs charging, there's no need to remove the device from the bike, it can simply be recharged using a USB-C cable via the Scout's charging port located under the waterproof silicone cap. Charging time is approximately 3 hours.LED DIODS AND WATERPROOFScout features dual function LEDs that indicate at a glance if Scout is active. The same LEDs also show the battery charge status. The Scout is IP66 waterproof, which means it can be left out in the rain, used in the rain, and can handle jet washing without affecting its functionality.Up to 10 Scouts or similar devices can be connected in the app.
