VestAlpha represents exactly the type of cycling apparel that at first glance looks understated, but in practice fundamentally changes comfort when riding in cold conditions. It was created in collaboration between Sportful and Polartec® as a thermal layer that efficiently insulates while not retaining moisture. Polartec® Alpha® material was originally developed for military units and today ranks among the most advanced insulations in the world. It retains warmth during stops and instantly releases excess heat when the pace increases. The special two-piece construction follows the body without pressure or friction, so the vest can be worn directly on the skin, over thin base layer or under a windproof layer. The material is low-volume and dries quickly, making it a reliable foundation in variable weather, even when temperatures hover around zero. The front zipper from world-renowned manufacturer YKK® allows for quick dressing and temperature regulation during the ride. When worn under a vest or jacket, it acts as a stabilizing thermal layer. It does not get in the way, does not snag, and does not create layers that would restrict movement. Visually, it remains hidden, but its impact on overall thermal comfort is immediately noticeable after putting it on.
VestAlpha is designed for riding in temperatures from –5°C to +5°C, on road and gravel.
