Because it really is perfect for so many conditions. In the end, we just wanted it to look different.The Perfetto RoS 2 excels in dry conditions thanks to its high breathability, but also in wet conditions thanks to CASTELLI's exclusive GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® fabrics. Featuring a soft fleece fabric on the front and a lighter, more stretchy fabric on the back to maximize breathability while providing excellent water repellency, the Perfetto RoS 2 jacket keeps all the cold wind out while being much more breathable than the typical polyurethane membranes used on most jackets that try to compete with it. When you stay drier during performance, you don't need as many layers. The beauty of this jacket is that it has no insulation per se, so the thin base layer is just right for mild conditions, while the addition of an insulating layer (a warm jersey or CASTELLI Alpha 2nd Layer shell) will allow you to wear this jacket into the cold. You decide.The"2" part of the name refers to updates to the latest version, including a YKK® Vislon® zipper with both top and bottom vents for better adjustable ventilation. Reflective elements on the back are more visible, the top shoulder seam has been moved to the back, and three pockets hold more stuff.
