We think we've made our best jacket even better with the next generation, the Alpha Doppio RoS. Even the best materials currently available with good levels of breathability can't cope with the sweat and heat generated by high-intensity riding. That's why we've developed a two-layer construction that allows you to have the wind- and water-resistant outer layer unzipped, while the inner insulation layer remains zipped, allowing moisture to escape through air circulation. When you're climbing a hill, you can completely unzip the outer layer to release moisture, then zipper up before coming back down, and you'll be perfectly dry inside. It works so well, it feels like magic. For this generation, we've used a softer, warmer insulating material - Polartec® Alpha Direct. We've also made a few changes to the extremities of the jacket: the neck, the waist and, above all, the cuffs. We've lengthened and shaped the neck so that it moves with you, whether you're pedaling upright or stepping on your buddies during a January workout. At the waist, we created an elastic panel with a flat silicone hem that fits perfectly and prevents wind transfer without rolling or sliding up. We modified the wrist closure, which now features two layers. The inner layer fits snugly around the wrist and enters the glove, while the outer layer wraps around the outside of the glove so water runs off and doesn't enter the glove. This jacket will stand up to wet conditions, we've used GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ WINDSTOPPER® with a waterproof seal at the critical seams on the shoulders. Other seams are hidden from direct contact with water, and the fabric's water-repellent treatment prevents most moisture from penetrating. The jacket is, as we say, "essentially waterproof", while maintaining the balance between water protection, breathability and comfort as far as possible. We're not saying there isn't a drop that seeps through, but we regularly take long rides in wet weather and we're completely dry. These features make it the favorite jacket of most of our ambassadors and staff, as well as the most versatile winter jacket we've ever made.
