Developed to give Swedish rider and time trial expert Gustav Larsson an advantage at the 2012 London Olympics, the helmet is as slippery as possible for maximum air-cutting efficiency. The shape is the result of extensive CFD (computational fluid dynamics) modeling and aerodynamic simulations. It is designed to ensure optimal airflow around the entire body, not just above the head. The helmet thus diverts the air away from the shoulders and ensures that you cut through the air as efficiently as possible. Two air intakes at the front help reduce drag, allowing air to flow through the helmet and over the shoulders, rather than creating too much turbulence when pulling forward. This airflow also ensures adequate ventilation during every effort. The helmet is upgraded internally to reduce pressure points and make it easier to put on and take off, and also has an improved attachment system that provides both comfort and safety.
